Chris Gayle
One of the biggest entertainer in IPL is Christopher Henry Gayle. From 2008 to 2010 Gayle played for Kolkata Knight Riders. Then from 2011 onwards, Gayle was with the Royal Challengers Bangalore camp. But when he was released from KKR in 2011, no team in the IPL bought him. However, he got associated with RCB as a replacement to Dirk Nannes who was out of the whole 2011 season due to his injury. Chris got his chance and he didn’t waste any opportunity to use it. In 2011 and 2012 seasons, he smashed the highest number of runs for RCB. Gayle scored 608 runs in the 2011 season and 733 runs in the 2012 season. With that, he also won the Orange cap for both the seasons. He was the first player to win the orange cap for two back to back IPL seasons.

Steve Smith
The Morden Day great batsman from Australia is the preferred batsman in the middle order position by all the IPL teams. Smith holds the innings like glue in the middle order batting position and that’s what makes him such a brilliant player across the formats. The former Australian captain is the current captain of the Rajasthan Royals team. But just like Gayle, Steve also went unsold in the 2012 season. Steve Smith was a replacement to his Australian teammate Mitchell Marsh in the Pune Warriors India squad. In that season, Smith scored 362 runs for PWI. But he gained immense popularity when he played for Rajasthan Royals in 2015 and two years later, Smith was made the captain of Rising Pune Supergiants and he remained so till 2017 IPL season.

Hardik Pandya
The flamboyant Pandya is the main player for Mumbai Indians. Hardik made his debut in the domestic cricket arena in 2013. Mumbai Indians bought Hardik for 10 lakhs rupees in 2015. In that season, Pandya scored 112 runs at a strike rate of 180.66. He debuted for T20 International debut at Sydney in 2016. Hardik is a premiere all-rounder for the Mumbai Indians team as he was retained by the same franchise in the year 2018 for a whopping 11 crores. Till now, the premiere all-rounder has scored 1068 runs and he has also taken 42 wickets. But you might not know that during IPL 2014 season, Hardik Pandya remained unsold.
