Jofra Archer ruled out of IPL – Just before the IPL 2020 season starts, one of the key players of RR has been ruled out of the entire IPL 2020 Season. Now Rajasthan Royals will face a major blow in the Indian Premier League’s 2020 season. Their leading scorer, Jofra Archer, has been ruled out from the IPL 2020.
He has made this decision because of his injury. The England bowler was injured a few days ago and also had surgery on his elbow. He has to stay out of cricket for three months. Due to that, Archer will also miss the series against Sri Lanka in this same period of 3 months. The England and Wales Board confirmed that he was due to enter London on Wednesday for further treatment.
He will now be participating in the England Cricket Board rehabilitation program and is likely to be backed up from the three-match Test series against the West Indies in June. The 25-year-old bowler has taken 11 wickets in 11 matches from Rajasthan Royals. He has played 10 matches in 2018 and took 15 wickets.
Jofra Archer ruled out of IPL
This will be a huge blow for Rajasthan Royals ahead of the IPL 2020 season. Jofra Archer was the main spearhead bowler in the RR line-up. With that being said, Archer also contributed with the bat in hand for the last few seasons of the IPL. In his absence, Rajasthan Royals will certainly find it difficult to ball and without the services of Jofra Archer, their bowling will also look weak.
This will put more pressure on the batting and other pace and spin bowlers of the Rajasthan Royals. Steve Smith will have to manage his side really well and should be the one to lead this RR team from the front.
