IPL 2020: Kapil Dev’s Special Advice to the Indian Players ahead of the Indian Premier League 2020 Season

Kapil Dev latest news – The Former Indian captain, Kapil Dev has given some special advice to players who complain about the calendar of International cricket’s busy calendar. Kapil Dev said that if the cricketers who regularly play for the Indian team and find the international calendar busy, then they can leave the IPL (IPL 2020) which will start on 29th March 2020.

Kapil Dev, in an event on Thursday, said, “If you think you are tired then do not play IPL. You are not representing your country in IPL. So if you feel that you are tired then you can always take a break during the IPL. When you are representing your country, then there should be a different feeling.”

Kapil Dev said that when the players are playing for their country, they need to give their best and must not compromise on that because they put a lot of energy in playing franchise cricket. The former captain, however, refused to comment on whether he saw any signs of fatigue in the Indian Test during the first Test loss to New Zealand or the ODI series. Kapil said, “I don’t know. It is very difficult and unfair for me to make a statement after watching it on TV.”

The former Indian captain, who has played 131 Tests and 225 ODIs for India in his 16-year international career said that he also felt tired when he played. Kapil said, “When you keep playing in a series and are not scoring or taking wickets, then sometimes you feel tired. On the other hand, when you score runs or take wickets, you never get tired.  If you take seven wickets and bowl 20-30 overs a day, you will not feel tired.”
