Spain is the country known for its odd and unique customs and festivals like Bull running and La Tomatina. Yet again there is Las Fallas festival, The 5 days celebration which started as a feast day for St. Joseph, the patron saint for carpenters. The Literal meaning of Las Fallas is “the fires”.

 You will be given a startling wake-up call by a brass band marching down the street, called as “la despierta” early in the morning at 8 am.There is the display of Ninots and paper mache figures that are paraded through the streets and is fancied by the spectators.

These Giant paper mache figures and ninot Satirize the political figures, Television and movie star, Famous musicians and are lined up for public scrutiny.

Later in the evening, one might find The whole city of Valencia displaying fireworks and bonfires in every corner of the streets.
