RCom has paid Rs 62.4 lakh to Sebi for settling a case related to alleged non-cooperation with credit rating agencies and debenture trustees.
To expand its European operations, Wipro has acquired Appirio and has also set up an office in Porto, Portugal. Appirio helps clients create next-generation worker and customer experiences using cloud technologies.
Vikram Mehta, an independent director at Jet Airways has resigned citing time constraints. He is also the executive chairman of Brookings India.
Mphasis has acquired Stelligent, a US-based technology services firm, for $25 million in an all-cash deal. Stelligent specializes in ‘DevOps automation’ on AWS.
Fintech and payments industry, including banks and NBFCs, is considering AI-based solutions for fulfilling e-KYC norms.
Amazon has more than tripled its earnings to Rs 21.47 billion from cloud and data hosting services in India. The profit also increased more than 10 times to Rs 1.16 billion in the year ending March 2018.
Ikea is localizing and lowering its prices for India. It is keeping its products in line with the Indian market as also launched certain products catering specifically to the Indian market. It has also tied up with UrbanClap to help customers put together their furniture.
RBI has canceled registrations of 31 NBFCs for unspecified reasons. Most of these are from Bengal.
