  • The Securities Appellate Tribunal nulled Sebi’s 2018 order barring Price Waterhouse from auditing any listed firm for two years and criticized Sebi for encroaching on the jurisdiction of ICAI. Sebi had barred PW for alleged involvement in Satyam Computers scam.
  • Advent International has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in DFM Foods for nearly Rs 852 crores.

  • Sun Pharmaceutical now has a 100% stake in PJSC Biosintez after buying out the last 3.04%.
  • Chances of a late-stage revival of Jet Airways have faded further, as RA Creator may reportedly be disqualified as it did not provide enough information about itself to Jet Airways’ IR professional as also did not deposit the mandatory amount required to seek access to the airline’s data. This will leave South America’s Synergy Group as the sole suitor.
