  • Ola-backed Vogo, a scooter rental startup is looking to raise $40 million from an equity funding round led by Lightstone Aspada and Mirae Asset Management.
  • Maruti Suzuki India, in order to maintain its dominant position in the market, has now revised its strategy to introduce models of Suzuki Motor Corp units in both premium Nexa dealerships and mass-market Arena showrooms.
  • Subhash Chandra, chairman of Zee Entertainment has now been allowed by the board of Zee to step down from his position.
  • Confirmtkt, a train ticket prediction startup, reported a Rs 26.73 lakhs of profit in FY19 as compared to Rs 36.22 worth of losses in FY18. The company is also in talks to raise $10 million in a Series A funding round.
  • Salcomp is planning to invest nearly Rs 2000 crores in India to make mobile chargers & other smartphone components from March 2020. It has also reached an agreement to take over a facility that was formerly owned by Nokia in Chennai.
  • Shuttl raised $18 million in a Series C round of funding from SPARX Group and Toyota Tsusho Corporation and is now planning to expand its presence all across India.

  • India’s OYO rooms officially launched 250 hotels in Thailand with 8000 rooms in over 13 cities in Thailand.
  • Oyo also reported a Rs 2385 crores of loss in FY19. They are also currently preparing for an IPO in the next two to three years at a valuation of $18 billion.
