- LeadSquared, a SaaS platform, has raised $32 million in a Series-B round of funding led by Gaja Capital. Existing investors of the firm Jyoti Bansal and Stakeboat Capital also participated.
- Venture Catalysts Group, an early-stage investor, closed 102 deals in 2020 compared to 63 in 2019. The group is looking to invest around Rs.1,000 crores in 2021. Group portfolio includes startups like SuprDaily, Beardo, BharatPe, Fynd, Coutloot, and Blowhorn. Group’s overall portfolio investments have reached a valuation of over $ 1.2 billion in less than 5 years.
- Jubilant FoodWorks, operating Domino’s Pizza and Dunkin’Donuts, have entered into the biryani business under ‘Ekdum’ brand, a new restaurant chain. It will be starting with three restaurants in Gurgaon operational for delivery, takeaway, and dine-in.
- Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has invested $150 million to set up a global technology centre in Hyderabad.
- Abhijit Bose, WhatsApp India CEO, said that the UPI payments feature on WhatsApp is now active across India.
- Adani Logistics has sold almost a fourth of its stake in Snowman Logistics. The Adani group had acquired the stake through an open offer in March.
