- International Finance Corp. and IFC Emerging Asia Fund will invest $76 million in Puravankara Group’s budget housing projects.
- Google has rolled out new language-centric features in Search, Maps, and Lens. Google Search will now show content in Indian languages where appropriate, even if the local language query is typed in English.
- WhatsApp desktop version may soon support audio and video calls. For every call, users will get a pop-up message.
- The board of Zee Entertainment has approved acquisition of film production and distribution business from Zee Studios, formerly known as Essel Vision Productions, having a turnover of Rs.124.11 crores in FY 19-20. Its board has also approved transfer of digital publishing business division, valued at ₹637.7 million, to Rapidcube Technologies.
- As per a report by E&Y and IVCA, Venture investments by PE and VC funds were 27% lower on yearly basis in November at USD 3.9 billion.

- Ikea’s second store in India, in Navi Mumbai, backed with an investment of Rs1,500 crore is opening today.
- Info Edge Ventures has got a commitment of Rs.375 crore from Temasek. The fund has already backed nine startups including Bulbul, Qyuki, DotPe, Truemeds, Fanclash, FirstHive, Rusk Media, Polymerize.
- PagarBook, a staff management solutions provider, has raised US$ 15 million in a Series A funding round led by Sequoia Capital. The round also saw participation from India Quotient. Funds may be used in product development and drive customer acquisition.
