Manchester City vs Wolverhampton – Manchester City went down to Wolverhampton 2 goals to nil as a late brace by the former Barcelona player Adama Traore secured a historic win. Wolves have defeated Manchester City at their home for the first time since 1979. Manchester City despite losing still remains second in the Premier League table but have now dropped 5 points behind league leaders Liverpool having dropped just three in the whole of last season and seven the year before that.

Pep Guardiola admitted that his players were nervous after the game as they felt that they lost their hopes of winning the Premier League for the third time in a row.

This is City’s first home league defeat since losing 3-2 to Crystal Palace on 22 December last year. Now, the manager will need the impending international break to regroup and clear the head of the team.
