Metro Route Restrictions on 26th January – Just like previous years, as part of the security arrangements, there are certain restrictions at metro stations on 26th January 2021.

The major restrictions at metro stations on 26 January 2021 are as follows:

  • Entry/exit to the following stations will remain closed for a short period on 26th January 2021. Interchange shall be available at Central Secretariat.
  • Parking facilities will remain closed from 6 AM on 25th January till 2 PM on 26th January at all stations.
  • The average waiting time at Rajiv Chowk gate no. 4 is 35 minutes and gate no. 7 is 60 minutes.
  • The average waiting time at Saket station is 45 minutes.
  • On 26 January, from 04.00 am, traffic on Tilak Marg, BSZ Marg, and Subhash Marg will not be allowed in both carriageways. Cross-traffic will only be allowed depending upon the movement of the tableaux.

Suggested Routes-

The road users are advised to take the following routes-

For Old Delhi Railway Station-
From South Delhi- Ring Road- Rajghat- Ring Road- Chowk Yamuna Bazar- S.P Mukherjee Marg- Chhatta Rail- Kauria Bridge and you reach Old Delhi Railway Station.

For New Delhi Railway Station-
From South Delhi-
Dhaula Kuan- Vande Matram Marg- Panchkuian Road- Outer Circle Connaught Place- Chelmsford Road for Paharganj side or Minto Road- Bhavbhuti for Ajmeri Gate side.

From East Delhi-
Boulevard Road via ISBT Bridge- Rani Jhansi Flyover- R/A Jhanewalan- D.B. Gupta Road- Sheela Cinema Road- Paharganj Bridge and reach New Delhi Railway Station.

Inter-State Buses-
Buses from Ghaziabad bound for Shivaji Stadium shall take NH-9, Ring Road, and terminate at Bhairon Road.
Buses coming from NH-9 shall take right on Road No. 56 and terminate at ISBT Anand Vihar.
Buses coming from the Ghaziabad side will be diverted at Mohan Nagar towards Bhopra Chungi for Wazirabad Bridge.
All Inter State buses coming from Dhaula Kuan side shall terminate at Dhaula Kuan

Vijay Chowk- Rajpath- Amar Jawan Jyoti- India Gate- R/A Princess Palace- Tilak Marg Radial Road- Turn right on “C” Hexagon- Turn left and enter National Statium from Gate No. 1.

Parking

All parking lots in the Metro stations will remain closed on January 25 from 6 AM to 2 PM on Republic Day i.e. 26th January.
