Modi’s Yoga Lessons on Yoga Day– International Day of Yoga or Yoga Day is celebrated on 21 June every year. The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi recommended this date because it is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere.
On 8 June, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi posted a video performing Ardha Chakrasana. Modi is encouraging people to perform yoga by posting his yoga videos.

The 2:18-second animated video shows PM Modi in a blue T-shirt and black track pants performing Tadasana or the palm tree posture. The video also tells the benefits of performing tadasana, which helps in maintaining physical and mental balance.
On 5th June, PM Modi tweeted “On 21st June, we will mark #YogaDay2019. I urge you all to make Yoga an integral part of your life and also inspire others to do the same. The benefits of Yoga are tremendous. Here is a video on Trikonasana,”
And on 6th June, he tweeted, “Doing Tadasana properly would enable you to practice many other Asanas with ease. Know more about this Asana and its benefits. #YogaDay2019,”

Modi’s Yoga Lessons on Yoga Day
In 2018, The Prime Minister had posted several video clips on various yoga asanas as well. This year, the government has shortlisted Delhi, Shimla, Mysore, Ahmedabad, and Ranchi for conducting various programs on the International Yoga Day.
It would be the government’s first mega public event after Modi took oath as the prime minister for the second consecutive time.
