Most Centuries in T20 World Cup by a Player – ICC World Twenty20, now known as ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, is an international cricket championship organized by the International Cricket Council. It is generally held in every two years. The tournament comprises top ten teams from the rankings at given deadline and six teams are chosen by the T20 World Cup Qualifier, summing to total 16 teams. The first edition of World T20 was held in 2007 in South Africa and was won by India after defeating Pakistan in the Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg. It was followed by 2009 tournament in England, won by Pakistan after defeating Sri Lanka at Lord’s. In 2010 tournament, England defeated Australia at Kensington Oval. The 2012 T20 was held for the first time in Asia and was won by West Indies on defeating Sri Lanka. The ICC World T20 in 2014 was hosted by Bangladesh, it was won by Sri Lanka after defeating India. The 2016 T20 finals was won by West Indies after beating England. The 2020 tournament to be held in Australia was postponed to November 2021 and 2021 edition has been moved to October 2022, as per the ICC announcements.

Most Centuries in T20 World Cup by a Player – most 100 in t20 world cup

For qualifying to the tournament, all the ICC members are automatically chosen while the remaining places are filled by a qualifying tournament, known as T20 World Cup Qualifier. The teams are then ranked based on the below mentioned criteria against each other:

  1. Highest number of points
  2. In case of equal points, higher number of wins
  3. In case of equal wins, higher net run rate
  4. In case of equal net run rate, lower bowling strike rate
  5. In case of equal blowing strike rates, a meeting is to be held.

In case it is a tie, a Super Over will decide the winner. If there is a tie again, subsequent super overs will be played until a winner is there.
