Most Wickets in World Cup 2019: Best Bowling Performances

Most Wickets in World Cup 2019 – The World Cup 2019 just got over and the hosts clinched the World Cup for the very first time. This world cup has been dominated by all the bowlers. The batsmen had to fight it out to come on top and score for their country. In this world cup, there were no double hundreds like there were in the 2015 world cup. That year New Zealand’s Martin Guptill and West Indian Universal Boss Chris Gayle scored one double hundred each.

It was because of the bowler’s dominance that England won. The England bowlers were successful in using the seaming conditions. They were too good with their line-lengths, Yorkers, cutters, slower balls, etc of varsities which have undone the batsmen from the opposition.

Another match-winner which Pakistan didn’t allow to play for the first few games. The 23-year-old pacer has got a good talent. His 6 wickets against Bangladesh was the prime example of that. Shaheen shined in that game and become the youngest pace bowler to pick up 5 wickets in a world cup game. His figures were 6 for 35 which is the best figures for a Pakistani bowler in the world cup match. If Pakistan had let Shaheen play in all the games then the result might have been different for them. In the 5 games he played he has taken 16 wickets to his name.

Chris Woakes
