The Moto X4 provides a much-needed boost to the Moto X series. If we are completely honest here, the only thing Moto X4 shares with the previous Moto X flagship smartphones is the name, rest it is a completely different device with the wide range of features.

Before we move ahead with Moto X4 review, let us highlight some of its positives and negatives.

    • POSITIVES
      • Glass/Metal Build
      • Easy to Handle
      • Project Fi Compatibility
      • Pocket Friendly
      • Expandable storage

  • NEGATIVES
    • Camera is slow and poor in low light conditions
    • Average battery life

Let us evaluate this smartphone with different functionalities and see its progress:

  • Design

Unlike previous Moto X smartphones that were highly customized with different materials and colors, you don’t get any flexibility when it comes to Moto X4.The design falls in line with Moto Z series devices. It is made up of glass and smooth metal frame around its perimeter. The glass backing means that you just can’t hide your fingerprints.

  • Display

It is an LCD display that measures in at 5.2 inches. The screen resolution is full HD with specifications as 1920*1080.It is not a flashy display which will captivate your senses but you just cannot complain when it comes to its display properties.

  • Performance

Moto X4 falls in the mid-range category as it is powered by Snapdragon 630 processor and 3 GB of RAM for running different apps and multitasking purposes. In general, Moto X4 performed well with no stutters or problems while working.

  • Hardware

The 32 GB onboard storage with microSD card slot is more than enough to handle storage related requirements. The fingerprint reader works extremely well in terms of unlocking the phone with reliability and speed. The headphone jack is located on the bottom side of the phone.

  • Camera

The dual camera experience in an affordable pricing can be taken any given day.

We have evaluated this smartphone on a different set of features. The phone isn’t flashy or on the top but Android devices are not meant to be designed this way. These devices offer great experiences that are simple, reliable and affordable. Moto X4 accomplishes these objectives very well and you won’t find a smartphone of such quality in terms of pricing offered. Moto X4 is the phone to look out for.
