On the 2nd day of Navaratri, Maa Brahmacharini is worshipped. Maa Brahmacharini signifies love and loyalty, wisdom and knowledge. She holds a rosary in her hight hand and a Kamandal in her left hand.

It is mentioned in Puranas that Devrishi Narada influenced her thoughts and as a result, she practiced tough penances to obtain Lord Shiva as her divine consort, which was eventually fulfilled.

Maa Brahmacharini Mantra Meaning in English

Meaning of Mantra: The Goddess who is omnipresent as the embodiment of Brahmacharini, I bow to her, I bow to her, I bow to her again & again. Goddess Brahmchaarini wears white color clothes, she holds rudraksha mala, lotus flower, and kamandalu, in her hands. Goddess Brahmcharini is the “tapaswini” roop of a goddess.. who gives freedom from Kama (lust) & Krodha (anger).
