Maa Mahagauri, the eighth manifestation of Maa Durga, is worshipped on the 8th day of Navratri. Having extremely fair complexion, she is often compared with Conch, Moon as also the white flower of Kunda. Maa Mahagauri is depicted with 4 arms riding on a bull. With two hands in blessing posture, she holds a Trishul and a Damru in the other two hands. Being depicted wearing a white saree, she is also known as Maa Swetambhara. In this form of Durga, Lord Shiva is her husband, for whom, she performed austere penance to get as her husband.
Maa Mahagauri removes sorrows from our life and leads us to the path of inner power and virtue. Her devotees also get a calming effect on their lives.

May Goddess Mahagauri who rides on a white bull, wears absolute white clothes, who gives happiness, be propitious to me.
