NBA 2018-19 season teams – The third highest revenue generating league in the world returns from the 16th of October. Come next week, the NBA is back for its 2018-19 season with a new season bringing new players and storylines to watch out for. The 73rd season of the NBA will conclude on April 10, 2019, and will see a total of 1230 games being played throughout the season.
The NBA 2018-19 season will see 30 teams compete for the coveted title of champions. The teams are divided into two conferences- Eastern Conference and the Western Conference, with each conference having 15 teams. The Eastern conference has three divisions called Atlantic, Central, and Southeast with the Western conference also having three divisions, which are the Northwest, Pacific, and Southwest. Each division has 5 teams in it. The top two sides from each conference compete in a play-off final which decides the two teams who compete in a 7 match final series for the trophy.
Interesting headlines ahead of the NBA 2108-19 season:
- A hectic offseason for the Lakers, Nuggets, Grizzlies, Hornets, Wolves, Hawks, Magic and Jazz sees them heading into 2018-19 with drastic changes to their respective rosters. A team roster is made up of 15 players with 12 players making the matchday squad and 3 players remaining inactive.
- Providing a continuous stream of entertainment, the NBA offseason saw plenty of movement with players changing franchisees. Among the biggest names to move was LeBron James who joined the LA Lakers and DeMarcus Cousins moving to defend champions Golden State Warriors. Carmelo Anthony headed to Houston, Trevor Ariza went to Phoenix, Dennis to OKC and Lance Stephenson to LA Lakers in the other prominent moves.
