PM Modi welcomed by German Chancellor at G7 meet
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the venue of the G7 Summit and was welcomed by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. He will be addressing the summit on several global and economic issues. He will also be having bilateral meetings with the Prime Minister of Canada, President of Indonesia, President of South Africa, and EU Commission President.
PM Modi to meet Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be holding bilateral talks with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in person after 4 years. The last in-person meeting between both leaders was held in 2018 when the Canadian Prime Minister visited India.

Opposition Presidential Candidate Files Nomination
- Opposition Presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha filed his nomination papers today for the upcoming Presidential polls. He filed his nomination in the presence of NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav, and Farooq Abdullah.
Telangana Chief Minister backs Yashwant Sinha for President
- Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has announced that he and his party will be backing opposition’s Presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha.
IN-SPACe starts authorizing Indian space start ups
- The Indian Space Promotion and Authorization Centre (IN-SPACe) has been formed to promote, authorise, monitor, and supervise space programs of private firms and start-ups. The agency has already started authorizing start-ups for their space programs. The first 2 entities to get authorized are Digantara Research and Technologies from Bengaluru and Dhruva Space from Hyderabad.
PM Modi addressed G7 Summit
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi who was invited by host country Germany to attend the G7 summit, addressed a session during the summit yesterday. In the session named ‘Investing in a better Future: Climate, Energy, Health’, he highlighted India’s achievements. He said that India has achieved the target of 40% energy capacity from non-fossil fuels, 9 years before the deadline. He also said that the target of 10$ ethanol blending has also been achieved before time.
- He invited the G7 countries to support India and said that a market for clean energy is emerging in India. He said that the G7 countries can research, innovate, and manufacture in these fields in India. PM Modi also explained the LiFE campaign which was globally launched on this Environment Day.
- PM Modi also gave an address during a session focused on ‘Stronger together: Addressing Food Security and Advancing Gender Equality.’
PM Modi holds bilateral talks with several countries during the G7 Summit
- PM Modi met with various world leader during his trip to Germany to attend the G7 Summit. He held bilateral talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, and Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo. He also held talks with European Union Commission’s head Ursula von der Leyen. Earlier, he had also met with Argentina’s President on Sunday.
PM Modi to visit UAE today
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting the UAE today to personally pay condolences on the passing of UAE’s President and Abu Dhabi leader Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
PM Modi to visit Bhimavaram on 4th July
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Bhimavaram to participate in 125th birthday celebrations of Alluri Seetharama Raju. He will also be unveiling a 30-feet statue of Alluri and address a public meeting.
India and European Union to resume negotiations for free trade pact
- After a gap of 8 years, India and the European Union will hold talks to discuss the free trade pact between India and the bloc of 27 nations. The talks will continue till 1st July in New Delhi.
JMM and AAP stay away from opposition’s Presidential nomination filing
- Opposition’s Presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha filed his nomination yesterday. He was accompanied by 16 opposition party leaders during his nomination. However, JMM and AAP stayed away from the nomination and gave still not announced their support for any candidate.
‘One Health’ pilot project to be launched today in Bengaluru
- The dairy and animal husbandry union minister will be launching ‘One Health’ pilot project in Bengaluru today. The platform aims to prevent zoonotic diseases in future by bringing human, animal, and environmental health on one platform. After Karnataka, the project will be implemented in Uttarakhand as well.
Bhagwant Mann’s government presents first budget of Punjab
- Punjab’s finance minister Harpal Singh Cheema presented the first budget of new Punjab of Rs. 1.5 lakh-crores. In the budget, households have been granted 300 units of free electricity from 1st July, as promised by the AAP government. No new taxes have been introduced and more allocation has been done to health and education.
Amarnath Yatra can be completed in a single day from Delhi
- Shree Amarnathji Shrine Board CEO Nitishwar Kumar said that arrangements have been made this year through which devotees can complete Amarnath Yatra in a single day from New Delhi. The much-awaited yatra is to begin from 30th June.

- Due to acute fuel shortage, the Sri Lankan government has announced that only essential services will operate in the country till 10th July.
