Prime Minister visits Varanasi, to launch several projects

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to Varanasi, his constituency to inaugurate and lay foundation of several projects. He inaugurated the Akshaya Patra midday meal kitchen there at the LT college. He will be inaugurating developmental projects worth Rs. 1,774 crores for improving the infrastructure of the city.

Amitabh Kant to become India’s G20 Sherpa

  • Former NITI Aayog Amitabh Kant will be replacing Union Commerce minister Piyush Goel as India’s new G20 Sherpa. Since Piyush Goel will be attending to other duties and the G20 Presidency will come to India in November, a full time Sherpa is required.
