Padma Shri Winning Actor, Om Puri died at 66
India’s most versatile actor and the Padma Shri award-winning actor, Ompuri died at the age of 66 after a heart attack at his home in Mumbai.
Ompuri rose to fame with his films like, Paar, Ardh Satya, Aakrosh, Maachis, Jaane Bhi do Yaron and many other major hits.
He was born in the City of Ambala in Punjab to a railway officer and studied at the Film and Television Institute of India.
He made his film debut with a Marathi Film based on famous Marathi Play named, Ghashiram Kotwal.
He was not a star just in Bollywood but also in Hollywood. He appeared in the Hollywood flicks like City of Joy, Patrick Swayze; wolf, the ghost and the darkness.Many people including his fans, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and other films stars
