With the constant pressure to treat COVID patients while also keep themselves protected, wearing a PPE suit is now is a must for them. But wearing PPE is not an easy task in itself. This is because wearing and taking off a PPE suit itself takes up almost half an hour. It might sound okay, knowing that these PPE suites take time to wear and take off, but it is much more complicated.

To start with PPE suits are good for one-time use only. With the limited availability of essential Personal Protective Equipment for doctors and other healthcare providers, doctors have to wear a single PPE suit for their entire shift.  Wearing the same PPE for an entire shift also indicates that doctors and other staff working under the COVID-19 departments are not able to eat food, drink water, breathe in the fresh air, or even use the bathroom, once they wear the suit on.

The staff working under the COVID-19 departments in hospitals sometimes wear adult diapers to avoid using toilets. It is difficult to understand what doctors are actually going through. Even after so many hurdles and facing various difficulties, they are working with the same enthusiasm and dedication every day because they know that your life depends on it and also because they have taken an oath to protect people.

PPE Kit India News – These doctors and health workers do not even have the luxury to allow themselves to take off these PPE suits for a few seconds. The well-fitted headgears do not allow air leaks. Another challenge for them is breathing and wearing goggles. This is because being summers, it can sometimes get suffocating, as also breathing can cause a fog up in the goggles, which creates a barrier for them to see. Also, because all doctors and staff look the same in the PPE suits, they have started sticking names in the front of the suits.

PPE Kit India News – The doctors are an important part of a mission that is getting difficult by every minute that passes by. With all the odds running against them, doctors and health workers are finding ways to move on. They are not at the luxury to breathe fresh air for even a few minutes in between their shifts and all of their energies are exhausted and drained out by the end of their shifts.

Doctors and other healthcare personnel are putting their safety at risk there to protect us, so let’s make sure we respect this. Reach out to as many people as you can and share this experience with them. We salute the Doctors, nurses, and all healthcare workers for their dedication, hard work, help, and support in these difficult times.
