Premier League 2019 Arsenal vs Tottenham – Arsenal put up a great fight after going 2 goals down to salvage a point from the London derby. The game started with both the managers making adjustments to their starting eleven. For Arsenal, Unai Emery started the trio of Lacazette, Aubameyang, and Pepe in the front whereas Mauricio Pochettino went for Christian Eriksen as the center attacking midfielder. Eriksen was one goal away from becoming the fifth player to score 50 goals in the Premier League for Tottenham and he did exactly just that by scoring the opener of the derby as he tapped home at the end of a flowing counter-attack as Spurs exploited the lazy midfield of Arsenal.

The half time score ended with 1-2, with a dominant performance from Tottenham. Tottenham started the second half just as they left the first half and looked liked the more impressive London side. The Spurs were able to string passes very well and Arsenal was only able to counter-attack using the pace of the front 3. Emery replaced Lacazette for Mkhitaryan in the 65th minute, the substitution was made as the french forward was seen limping and himself asked the manager to be replaced.

Guendouzi was the creator of the second goal. He picked up the ball from the defence and after dribbling past a player, he chiped the ball over the Spurs defence just to find a touch of Aubameyang’s feet guiding the ball into the net. It seemed that Arsenal had taken the lead with the momentum flowing towards their side from a Sokratis finish off a Kolasinac cross but later the goal was cancelled by VAR as the pass maker was given offside. It was a thrilling and enthralling derby and after the second half antics from Arsenal, it was fair for both the teams to share a point.
