Pushkar Camel fair

Pushkar fair or Pushkar Camel fair is Livestock fair held in Pushkar, Rajasthan. It is 5 days long event which is held annually and is renowned as World’s largest Camel fair. There are buying and selling of livestock, followed by camel race, songs, dance and exhibitions.

It is Celebrated from the day of Kartik Ekadashi to Kartik Poornima (full moon day of October-November). According to Hindu Mythology, Hindu God Brahma sprung up the Pushkar lake on the day of Kartik Poornima. Thus, as per ritual Pilgrims Swim in Sacred water of Pushkar lake.

The visitor may encounter Competitions like- Longest moustache, Bridal competition , Matka Phod or cricket match between local Cricket club and foreign tourists.

There are camping facilities for visitors to experience the culture more vividly.
