Reliance Jio Welcome offer may extend till March 2017
Good news for Reliance Jio users is coming up. Reports suggest Reliance Jio could probably extend its Welcome offer until March 2017. This means that the existing users on the network will get free 4G data up to 4 GB per day, until March 2017.
However, the company has not gone public with this announcement. For now such claims have been made by an analyst at Motiwal Oswal.
Motilal Oswal Report says,
Mass scale free welcome offer could continue until March 2017 to attract subscriber growth towards the celebrated 100 million mark with Rjio’s indicative data pricing at Rs. 130-140 per gigabyte (GB).
The analyst’s reason for this claim seems to be the ongoing point of interconnectivity (POI) issue, which has forced people to not to switch to Jio, or leaving their previous network.
The matter was taken up to TRAI, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), suggesting the top telecom networks, Vodafone, airtel and Idea to pay Rs 50 crore per circle as a penalty for failing to provide POIs to Jio.
As per the TRAI’s recent report Jio 45 is the slowest in the country, and their speed has been gradually slowing down.
