9 out of 10 breaths Bad Air, says World Health Organisation
According to recent World Health Organization report, it is reported that 90 percent of the world population is breathing poor quality of air. After this report, WHO called out for serious action against pollution that is blamed for more than six million deaths a year.
WHO expert says, the problem is acute in cities but air in rural areas is worse than many thinks.
She said in a statement, “Poorer countries have much dirtier air than the developed world, according to the report, but pollution affects practically all countries in the world and all parts of society” and added, “It is a public health emergency”…”Fast action to tackle air pollution can’t come soon enough”.
The data collected for the report said that 92 percent of world’s population lives in places where air quality levels exceed WHO limits.”
