Recently Supreme court had passed a judgement which bans all liquor shops, Hotel bars and Restaurants along national and state highways. This judgement will also cover the Havelock Island, which is the part of Andaman Islands.

Havelock Island’s road has been designated as National Highway, and all licenses with effect from 1st April 2017 have been cancelled. This effectively means that liquor will no longer be available on the entire Island of Havelock.

This is an update to all the Travellers planning to visit Havelock or are in Havelock to avoid any disappointments. Added to this, guests are also not permitted to carry alcohol from port Blair to Havelock on board the ferry so even if traveller buys alcohol from the mainland or Port Blair it will be of no use.

Any further development of this update will be updated shortly.
