The hearing has been deferred till around 2pm when the new judge on the case, Ravindra Kumar Joshi, will take up the case after lunch break.
Update of 6th April on Blackbuck poaching case
The judge deferred hearing of the case scheduled for today at 10.30 am and has asked lawyers of Salman Khan to produce all the previous records of the case. The hearing is now scheduled for tomorrow i.e. 7th April 2018. This means that Salman Khan will have to spend another night in the jail.

In the in Blackbuck poaching case, Bollywood actor Salman Khan convicted (1998) on Thursday in the Jodhpur Case. All the other accused- actor Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam, and Tabu, who were also present at the Jodhpur court have been acquitted by the court.
Special security arrangements were made outside the court premises ahead of the verdict on the in Blackbuck poaching case. On 28th March 2018, the final argument in the case was completed in the trial court, after which Chief Judicial Magistrate Dev Kumar Khatri had reserved the judgment to be announced on April 5th( today).
Salman Khan faces a charge under Section 51 of the Wildlife Protection Act and the other actors were charged under the section 51 with Section 149 (unlawful assembly) of the Indian Penal Code. The maximum punishment under the section 51 is six years.
Salman Khan’s lawyers are currently arguing for the trial and pleading for the minimum sentence. If the actor’s bail plea gets rejected, the actor may have to spend time in the prison till Monday, when he can reapply for the bail.
The megastar Salman Khan was accused of poaching two blackbucks in Bhagoda ki Dhani Village Kankani near Jodhpur between October 1st and 2nd,1998. The incident happened when the Salman Khan and the other stars were shooting for Sooraj Barjatya’s family-Drama Bollywood film “Hum Sath Sath Hain”
