Salman Khan Tops Chart as Highest Tax Payer in Bollywood
Salman khan has left behind his contemporaries including Hrithik Roshan and Akshay Kumar to be the Highest Advance taxpayer for the financial year 2016-17.
According to recent Income tax report of the advanced tax paid by top 10 industry fold till March 2017, Salman earned over Rs. 500 crores for his blockbuster hit Sultan and has paid Rs 44.5 crore. Given that the amount he paid in the last fiscal year was Rs 32.2 crore, Khan’s annual income, it is estimated, has grown over 39 percent in one year.
Next to him is Akshay Kumar who paid Rs 29 crore as advance tax after series of hits films including Rustom and Jolly LLB 2. Hrithik Roshan came in at the third position with Rs 25.5 crore in tax payments. New entrant; actor-comedian Kapil Sharma surprised the Income Tax department by reporting an income hike of 206 per cent in one year with a payment of Rs 23 crore as advance tax. Last year he paid, Rs 7 crore.
