Sapporo snow festival is the annual event in Sapporo which is observed for 7 days in the month of February. Major sites for the festival are Odori Park, Susukino, and Tsudome.
Every year about 2 million people visit the city of Sapporo for the festival. There is the display of Snow statues and ice sculpture. Festival features the famous ice sculpture competition where 14 teams from different parts of world take part.
The theme of statues built may vary and features famous people of the world/country, any object, building or past events.
Visitors may also enjoy the Local cuisine of Sapporo during the event.
