Series of blasts have blown the cities across Thailand that has targeted tourist towns of Hua Hin, Phuket, and other locations.
According to reports, 4 are found dead and many injured. They struck hours after two bombs that exploded in Hua Hin resort.
A further two blasts struck today at Patong Beach resort on the popular tourist island of Phuket, while two more bombs were reported in the southern towns of Trang and Surat Thani, in each of which one person was killed.
Hua Hin is home to the Klai Kangwon summer palace of Thailand’s royal family, and the firsts blasts came on the eve of Queen Sirikit’s 84th birthday and just ahead of the first anniversary of a Bangkok shrine bombing that killed 20.
PM Prayuth Chan-ocha said, “The bombs are an attempt to create chaos and confusion”. He added, “We should not make people panic more.”
