Priorities and Changes which Ganguly will make after he becomes the new President of BCCI

Sourav Ganguly BCCI President – Sourav Ganguly is all set to play a new inning as the BCCI President. He was elected solely for the topmost position in BCCI. Ganguly was nominated from the Cricket Association of Bengal for the President’s post and on 23rd October 2019, dada will take charge as the BCCI’s President.

Ganguly has declared an emergency situation in BCCI by saying that he will have to put things in order and that will be his priority as the BCCI President. Over the last 3 years, with the intervention of the Supreme Court of India and the committee of administrators who saw the administrators’ affairs mess in the BCCI, his job will be to get BCCI back on track.

Now is the time where all the members will need to come together to overcome the issues. Ganguly will be working with the eight members which will get the BCCI back on track. He will make a difference along with the team members and hopefully bring normalcy in Indian cricket.

Ganguly has credited the team players for their wonderful job on the field. But to get the office in the order, he will have to work as a team and it is the job of the Board to give the boys a good infrastructure so that these cricketers can excel.

As priorities, Ganguly will want to increase the focus on First Class Cricket and the cricket players. At the start, he will want to increase the payment for the players. He is looking to invest time for players as he knows that First Class Cricket is the main base to create world-class players from our country.

Sourav Ganguly BCCI President – He will look for a smooth function in the office with no issues so that the members with Ganguly can focus to improve the cricket structure and governance as the members of BCCI.

As a BCCI President, Sourav looked upon the weak position of the board in the ICC. He will look to recover the money that the International Cricket Council has not paid for the last three to four years. The BCCI generates only 70 to 75 percent avenues.

Ganguly didn’t want to purse as the BCCI President. But, the senior officials in BCCI recommended his name in the setup.

Sourav Ganguly BCCI President – He said that he never spoke or expressed his desire to be in the BCCI administration staff. In the current staff, the BCCI members are not able to decide on the positions. This is not good enough he added.

If it is not a worthwhile position then one can’t make a difference because they will be losing the state association position as well.
