Taking a 1-0 lead in the five-match ODI series against Australia, the match was not all easy going for India. Struggling at 99-4 at one point after losing a hoard of wickets in quick succession, the hosts found themselves crumbling in their chase of a relatively low total
Although Australia have won more matches than they have lost in India in ODIs, with 49 wins and 32 losses, their win percentage is the third worst in all of the countries they’ve visited till date.
England won by 41 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the series
Batting first, England scored 160-4 before restricting India to 119-6 after the hosts found themselves on 49-5 at one point

The 116 runs against Australia at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur was Kohli’s 40th century, taking him to 10,686 runs in 224 matches. It was his 65th overall international century.
The 45,000 capacity stadium holds not only massive concourses that make for vociferous Indian support when the home side is in action but also of a pristine, lush green field that makes for a terrific place to play cricket at.
He made the foray at the international stage in 2004 when he represented the country at the U19 ODI World Cup after which he continued his career with the Delhi Ranji team before eventually going onto represent India where he went onto make 187 in his debut match.
Born into a less fortune family, Gayle’s father, worked as a policeman, while his mother sold peanuts to earn extra money to run the household. The only cricketing links in the family arose from his grandfather who had played club cricket during his time that lead Gayle to take up the game.
