No Indian casualties have been reported so far. The strikes used para commandos and Helicopters and were conducted at about eight locations up to 2 km across LoC.

The army also said that the captured terrorists have confessed to their training and arming in Pakistan.

On the other hand, Pakistan has denied the strikes and has accused India of cross-border firing that killed two Pakistani soldiers.

Pakistan Prime minister said in a statement, “we condemn this attack, our desires for peace should not be interpreted as our weakness”.
Pakistani military press wing said, “This quest by Indian establishment to create media hype by rebranding cross-border fire as a surgical strike is the fabrication of the truth. Pakistan has made it clear that if there is a surgical strike on Pakistani soil, same will be strongly responded”.
News of surgical strikes was only revealed after PM Modi chaired a meeting of cabinet committee on security.
