Sushma Swaraj to Address the UN General Assembly today
Sushma Swaraj, India’s External Affairs Minister will address the UN General Assembly today.
She is expected to deliver a strong response to Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s speech that was delivered last week, where he focused on Kashmir and glorified Burhan Wani.
Swaraj will address the assembly at 7:20 pm today where she is expected to speak about India’s effort to isolate Pakistan after the terrorist attack from that country on Indian army base.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a firm message to Pakistan warned, “We will ensure that the international community works to isolate you”.
India’s envoy to the UN Syed Akbaruddin had said that terrorism is the “primary concern” for India as well as for nations across the world.
Vikas Swarup, Foreign Ministry spokesperson said, “The whole world and the entire nation” is waiting to hear from Sushma Swaraj who will deliver India’s “vision document” for the 71st UNGA.
