Sushma Swaraj Comes to Rescue after Racial attacks on Indians
External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj spoke in the lok Sabah about the racial discriminations and attacks faced by Indians in foreign countries, especially in The United States.
Recently a number of racial crimes have come into account in the US especially, where people directed against Indians based on their skin colour with the criminal shouting that they should go back to their own country. This has happened frequently since the New President Donald Trump took over the PM’s Post.
Addressing to Lok Sabha today, Sushma Swaraj said that the safety and security of Indians were the Government’s top priority. She informed about her talks with the families of Srinivas Kuchibhotla and Deep Rai and said that she had raised these issues with the highest authorities in the United States of America.
She also assured that the top authorities of The US including President trump had strongly condemned the attacks.
Trump has been a very vocal critic of immigration and illegal immigrants in the US and has vowed to a crackdown. Due to this, some extremist carried out reprehensible attacks on people with dark skin or those with a turban, or long hair or beard. The Indian government has quickly jumped to the affected people’s aid and approached the Trump administration.
