Sushma Swaraj’s response to Pakistan in UN assembly
India’s foreign minister Sushma Swaraj took down Pakistan in her speech at United Nations General Assembly yesterday.
Swaraj warned that Islamabad should abandon the dreams about using terror attacks and acquiring India’s possessions. She said, “Let me state unequivocally that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and will always remain so.”
This was Swaraj’s fierce response to Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s speech in UNGA, where he talked about human rights atrocities in Kashmir. India has accused Pakistan of inciting the riots that left nearly 90 dead and over 10,000 injured.
Ms. Swaraj described terror as the, biggest violation of human rights. She also said that the countries who use and promote it must be accountable.
She said, “as gestures of friendship, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had invited Mr. Sharif to his oath-taking ceremony in 2014, and has recently sent him Eid greetings, and wished him after his heart surgery. And what did we get in return? Pathankot, Bahadur Ali, and Uri“.
