Tanabata
Tanabata is Japanese festival which is originated from Chinese festival Qixi. It is also known as Star festival and celebrates the meeting of two deities Orihime and Hikoboshi in The Japanese mythology. According to The legend the two lovers were separated by Milky Way and were only allowed to meet once in the year.
People celebrate it by writing wishes on small piece of paper and tie it to the bamboo. Sometimes other decorations are added while hanging wishes on Bamboos. Later the wishes are set afloat after the festival.
Disneyland, Tokyo often celebrates the festival by featuring Mickey Mouse as Hikoboshi and Minnie Mouse as Orihime.
