Tata IPL 2022 New Format Groups List – IPL 2022 will be starting from 26th March 2022 across 4 venues in Mumbai and Pune. The venues have been finalized in only two nearby cities in view of COVID-19.
70 league matches, 4 play-off matches, and 1 final match will be played among 10 teams divided into 2 groups. Each team will be playing 14 league matches in the 2022 series.

10 IPL teams 2022 have been divided into 2 IPL Groups 2022:

The IPL Groups 2022 have not been decided according to a draw, but on the basis of titles won and finals reached by the IPL teams 2022. Mumbai Indians who has won 5 titles is heading Group A while Chennai Super Kings is heading Group B.

IPL Matches 2022
Each IPL team 2022 will be playing 14 league matches. Each team will play twice with their group teams and with the same-row team from the other group. The team will play one match with the remaining teams from the other group.

IPL 2022 Venue
The IPL matches 2022 will be played at the following stadiums:
- Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai) – 20 Matches
- Brabourne Stadium (Mumbai) – 15 Matches
- DY Patil Stadium (Mumbai) – 20 Matches
- MCA International Stadium (Pune) – 15 Matches
Tata IPL 2022 Format and New Rules
- IPL will be having 2 DRS for each of the innings.
- In case of catch dismissal, the incoming batsman will be taking the strike irrespective of whether the batsman had crossed or not. However, this rule will not apply in case it’s the last ball of the over.
- In case a team’s playing XI cannot be determined due to the COVID-19, the match will be rescheduled later.
- In case rescheduling is not possible, the IPL technical team will oversee the issue.
- Playoffs/Finals: In case of Super overs not getting completed due to any reason, the team with the higher ranking in the league will be declared the winner.
