Good morning, everyone! Today I am going to deliver a Teachers’ Day speech on the occasion of Teachers’ Day! I would like to begin by thanking all teachers for their selflessly dedicating their lives to igniting young minds.
Teachers’ Day is celebrated in India on 5th September. The day also marks the birth anniversary of former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Dr. Radhakrishnan’s students have requested him to celebrate his birthday. However, he asked them to observe Teacher’s Day on his birthday instead. Since 1962, 5th September has been observed as Teacher’s Day.
Teachers play an important role in the overall development of students. Teachers cultivate young minds and prepare them for the future. They not only teach bookish knowledge but imbibe values as well in students. Each person’s life is significantly impacted by their teachers. Teachers support, encourage, and direct students to become the finest version of themselves.

Various events are organized by schools to honor the dedication and guidance of teachers. Many students dress up like their teachers on this day as an ode to them. Greeting cards, flowers, and gifts are given to teachers by students on this day.
