This was the first test match that was played on the 2018 tour. India scored 250 runs mainly because of Chesteshwar Pujara. India’s number 3 held the innings together and guided the team to a decent score. Pujara saw almost all the wickets fell at the other end. But still, he batted with immense concentration and scored 123 runs. He was the last batsman out for India in the 1st innings. Australia had a huge task in front of them. Aussies needed to counter the Indian pace bowlers. They responded well to India’s 250. Australia fell just 15 runs short of India’s total in their 1st innings. But the Indian bowlers kept on bowling to some good lines and lengths which didn’t allow Australia to match up the score set by India. India won the match by 31 runs.
