The Launch of Bharat ke Veer Trust
The launch of Bharat Ke Veer Trust by the Ministry of Home affairs was announced by Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh on twitter today. He wrote, “The Ministry of Finance has given approval to the trust under 80(G) which means that all contributions to the Trust will be exempted under Income tax”. The trustees of the trust include Shri Akshay Kumar, former National Badminton Champion Shri Pullela Gopichand and others headed by the Union Home Secretary.
The Bharat Ke Veer Trust has been formulated to help and support the bereaved families of Martyrs of the Central Police Armed Force CAPF. The CAPF includes eight different security forces in India, which includes Assam Rifles (AR), Border Security force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), National Security Guard (NSG), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

The government website and app ‘Bharat Ke Veer’ or India’s Bravehearts was launched in April 2017, with Shri Akshay Kumar’s initiatives, which brought together other organizations like Indian Cricketer Gautam Gambhir’s Foundation providing a helping hand to support the education of the children of the brave martyrs.
With Akshay Kumar, many other Bollywood celebrities promoted the cause, which bore fruitful results with people widely appreciating it and donating generously to it. The initial donations include Akshay Kumar donating INR 1.08 crores, since then the numbers are increasing.
The website ‘Bharat ke veer’ is simple to use and provides transparency in the funds collected and donated, it is a platform to encourage people to come together as a community to help the one in need by donating generously. This initiative also ensures the safety of the kin of the present Heroes in the forces after them, in case of their sad demise while they are fighting to ensure the safety of the entire nation.
