Swiggy buys Dineout!
The popular restaurant reservation app Dineout will be acquired by food delivery app Swiggy. Dineout will continue to operate as an independent app but would benefit from Swiggy’s huge consumer base. While Swiggy will bring in new products and services for DIneout. The deal has been closed for Rs. 930 crores and will close next month.
Kenyan nurse wins the Aster Guardian Global Nursing Award
Anna Qabale Duba, a Kenyan nurse was awarded the Aster Guardian Global Nursing Award in Dubai. The nurse works at the Marsabit County Referral Hospital. She is the only female graduate in her village and has been endorsing education for young children through her foundation. She has also been campaigning against outdated traditions and social issues such as Female Genital Mutilation. She has built a school in Marsabit for children and adults.

Pilot Project for Skilling Tribal Youth
The Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship launched the pilot project for skill development of tribal youth. Under the project, 250 students from the states of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Odisha will be trained. The training will help them in setting up their own business and generate more employment opportunities for the youth.
