1965 – Batukeshwar Dutt was an Indian revolutionary and independence fighter in the early 1900s. He, along with Bhagat Singh, is most popularly known for exploding a few bombs, in the Central Legislative Assembly in New Delhi on 8 April 1929.
1972 – Geeta Dutt was a playback singer and a famous Hindi and Bengali classical artist.
