Raheem Sterling scored the opening goal of the match in the 20th minute from a Kevin De Bruyne cross that he finished with a header, letting the ball go past Hugo Lloris. Just minutes later, Tottenham got into the match with Erik Lamela scoring a goal from a very open angle, the goal seemed like a dead pass that ended up going past Emerson. The goal was quite lucky as it came at a time when Manchester City players were in a passive state. De Bruyne had a great time playing against the White Lillies. He released Sergio Aguero with a through ball, Aguero with his blistering pace beat Alderwield and slotted it home to give the citizens the lead once again.

The most talked-about moment of the match happened in the 92nd minute when Gabriel Jesus curled the ball into the bottom right which ended up going into the net. The Etihad stadium erupted in celebration but after a review from the referee, the goal was canceled as the ball came from Laporte’s hand to Jesus during the build-up. Tottenham must be happy with a point away from home whereas City will be a bit disappointed as Liverpool will now go on top of the table.
