In the 3rd and the final One Day International of the series, Kohli smashed 114 runs and thus became the only cricketer to score 20,000 runs in a single decade. Former Aussie skipper Ricky Pointing is the second on this list. Punter scored 18, 962 runs in a single decade of the 2000s era.
  • Virat Kohli is also the fastest to score 10,000 runs in International Cricket. He again achieved this feat against West Indies where he smashed an unbeaten 157 runs in 2018. Kohli took just 205 innings to score 10k runs and thus, he surpassed Sachin Tendulkar’s feat. The Master blaster took 259 innings to score that many runs. Kohli achieved the landmark of scoring 10,000 runs in just 10 years and also broke the ‘Record of The Wall, Rahul Dravid’. Kohli scored 10,000 ODI runs in 10 years and 68 days whereas Dravid took 10 years and 317 days to achieve this feat.
  • Virat Kohli scored 1000 runs in a year. The skipper had a record of scoring the fastest 1000 runs in ODIs in the 2018 calendar year. VK scored those runs in just 11 ODI innings and by doing so, he also broke Hashim Amla’s record who took 15 innings to achieve this feat.
