Kohli scored 10,000 ODI runs in just 205 innings. For the same record Sachin is at number two after reaching this milestone in 259 innings. He scored those runs at an average of 59.34 and a strike rate of 93.25. During this, he also scored 43 centuries and 58 fifties till now. But when we all talk about run chases, we hear only one name and that name is of Virat Kohli.  The King is also known as the Chase Master in the 50 over format. Till now Kohli has scored 26 centuries while chasing the targets. The IPL 2016 season was the greatest for Virat Kohli. He had overshadowed many great names of the cash-rich league tournament. Virat Kohli still has the record of making the highest number of runs in a season of IPL. Kohli scored 973 runs in 16 matches played in the IPL 2016 season. Those many runs were scored at an average of 81.08 at a strike rate of 152.03. He scored the most centuries in a single season as well in 2016. The King smashed 4 centuries and 7 fifties. It has been 4 long years when Kohli achieved this feat in his IPL career and still no one has broken this record of Kohli yet.

Taking a wicket on the first ball is a very happy occasion for any bowler, although Kohli is the only player in the world who got a wicket on the very first delivery in the T20 International match. Kohli bowled for the first time in the T20 International match played in Manchester against England. Though it was declared a wide ball, wicketkeeper Dhoni collected it neatly and easily stumped out Kevin Pietersen. Kohli got a wicket on the first ball.
