Virender Sehwag triple century list scorecard – Virender Sehwag is still famously known as the Nawab of Najafgarh. He was a terrific opener for India in all forms of cricket. Against Pakistan in their den, Sehwag got a new name after he scored his first triple century in test matches for India.

The Sultan of Multan bashed the Pakistani bowling line up. Sehwag played the longest and the most traditional format of cricket in his style, which was bashing the opposition at will. He was the one batsman who never cared about any conditions, pitch nor the opposition bowler. The opener played the test matches in the ODI mode, which was also seen in the Multan Test match.

On 28 March 2004, India toured Pakistan for a full-fleshed series. The visiting Indian team had chosen to bat first. Sehwag opened with Akash Chopra in that match. Akash Chopra was out after scoring 42 runs and Skipper Rahul Dravid was out early too. He departed after scoring just 6 runs.

India was in some sort of pressure, after they lost two quick wickets in a steady start. But after this, India gained back the momentum. Then, it was a spectacular Sehwag and Sachin show at Multan.   Sehwag was unbeaten on 228 runs after the first days play.  After stumps at day one, Sehwag said that he is eyeing a triple century and did it the next day.

Virender Sehwag triple century list scorecard – Virender Sehwag completed his 300 runs in just 364 balls. The amazing thing was that Sehwag executed this feat by hitting the ball off Saqlain Mushtaq for a six. Sehwag scored a total of 309 runs in 375 balls, which included 39 fours and 6 sixes. Sehwag’s strike rate in Test was above 82, which was amazing.

Thanks to Sehwag’s innings, Team India won this Test match by an innings and 52 runs. Interestingly, the Multan Test proved to be the last test match of the great off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq. Saqlain Mushtaq could never find a place in the Test team after this match. Saqlain took 1 wicket for 204 runs in the Multan Test.

Sehwag’s second triple century – On 29 March 2008, exactly 4 years after the Multan Test, Sehwag once again attempted to hit a triple century. This time he achieved that against a strong South African team in Chennai.

Virender Sehwag triple century list scorecard – He amassed 319 runs in just 304 balls. Sehwag hit 42 fours and 5 sixes in his innings and scored the highest Test score for India. He is still the only Indian batsmen to score two triple tons for India in test matches.

This was the Fastest triple century in Test cricket. This triple century of Sehwag was also special because before that, no batsman had ever touched the 300-run mark so fast. Sehwag scored a triple century in just 278 balls, which was the fastest triple century in cricket history.

In Chennai, Sehwag completed his century in just 116 balls. After this, he completed his 200 runs in just 194 balls. He took only 225 balls to score 250 runs, after which he did a miracle to score a triple century from just 278 balls.
