Vishwakarma Puja 2022: Know Vishvakarma Jayanti Puja Date, time and history
Vishwakarma Day is also known as Vishwakarma Jayanti or Vishwakarma Puja or Biswakarma Puja or Biswa Karma. Vishwakarma Puja 2022 is being celebrated on 17 September. This year sarvarth siddhi yog is falling on the Vishwakarma Jayanti and hence you can do puja at any time except the Rahu Kaal which would be around 10.43 am till 12.15 noon.
Falling on the last day of the Hindu month Bhadra, this day is dedicated to God Biswakarma, the divine architect. This day is celebrated in almost all parts of India. Celebrations are larger in scale in Industrial cities like Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Tripura, Jharkhand, and Orissa that work with tools and factory machinery.

Lord Vishwakarma is considered to be the creator of Palaces, weapons, and vehicles of Hindu Gods and Goddesses. Some of his amazing creations are said to be golden Lanka which Ravana ruled, Dwarka, the place of Lord Krishna, and the heaven where Gods reside. He is also considered to be the creator of ‘Vajra’, the sacred weapon of Lord Indra, which was made from the bones of Sage Dadhichi. His art and caliber are unmatched in the whole universe.

Vishwakarma Puja 2022
Vishwakarma Jayanti is celebrated on the birth anniversary of Lord Vishwakarma. This day is also referred to as Bhadra Sankranti. In some parts of India, Vishwakarma Day is also celebrated the next day of Diwali. Celebrations and rituals are performed in the same way that they are done on Vishwakarma Jayanti.
Vishwakarma Jayanti is considered to be the most auspicious day for craftsmen and artisans. Various puja rituals are offered in Vishwakarma temples and at workplaces of devotees. People generally wash and clean their tools and old machinery is repainted before worshipping.

Vishwakarma Puja 2022
Factories and shops are cleaned and decorated, just like on Diwali. The puja is later performed and then, for the rest of the day, no work is done in shops and factories, as the artisans and workers don’t use their tools. Yagya puja is also performed for the overall growth and prosperity of business.
Celebrations continue even in the evening when a lot of people get set for Kite flying. Local competitions for Kite flying are also arranged which see far too many participants and their families coming along to enjoy.
