So, why MS Dhoni collect stumps? This secret was finally revealed by Dhoni himself. In an interview MS Dhoni was asked as to why he collect stumps? He said jokingly that this is his retirement plan. Why MS Dhoni collect stumps
During Cricket World Cup 2015, he tried to pull out a stump after winning the first match. He was denied by the umpires as the stump had special LED lights and was costly. So, reportedly, after that ICC started using a wooden stump in between the two LED stumps. Now Dhoni can easily take the stump after every win and add it to his collection.
